Homogeneous mixture is a mixture which has same proportion of substance throughout it.Its composition does not vary from one part of the mixture to another ,i.e.mixture is uniform throughout.

e.g:Salt solution,Sugar solution.

Heterogeneous mixture is a mixture which has varying proportion of substance throughout it.Its composition varies from one part of the mixture to another,i.e.mixture is not uniform.

e.g:Chalk in water,oil in water.
