The glucose is oxidized in two ways aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration. The difference in these two types of oxidation are:

1- In aerobic, glucose is converted in CO2 (carbon dioxide) and H2O (water) in mitochondria, whereas in anaerobic, glucose is converted in ethanol and CO2 (carbon dioxide) in cytoplasm.

2- In aerobic, 686 Kcal energy is released, in anaerobic, 56 Kcal energy is released.
