Heya! ☺️

0.4= 4/10

and

0.5= 5/10

now multiply both by 3

So,

4/10× 3/3= 12/30

and, 5/10 ×3/3= 15/30

So, 2 rational no. between 0.4 and 0.5 are:-

14/10, 13/10

Concept-

A rational is the number that is expressed as the ratio of two integers, where the denominator should not be equal to zero, whereas an irrational number cannot be expressed in fractions. Rational numbers are terminating decimals but irrational numbers are non terminating and non recurring.

Given-

Rational numbers between 0.4 and 0.5

Find-

We have to find any two rational numbers between 0.4 and 0.5.

Solution-

Rational numbers between 0.4 and 0.5 can be calculated as-

a + b /2 = 0.4 + 0.5 / 2 = 0.9 / 2 = 0.45

             = o.45 + 0.4 / 2 = 0.85 / 2 = 0.425

             = 0.45 + 0.5 / 2 = 0.45 / 2 = 0.475

So, rational number between 0.4 and 0.5 are 0.45 , 0.425 , 0.475...
