Increase in urbanization means an increase in the usage of industrial products. This results in consumption of more fuel by industries in order to massively scale up the production of such goods and meet the rising demand.

As a result of urbanization, the lifestyle of people has also greatly changed, promoting more usage of automobiles which increases pollution and also, encourages more usage of fuel.
