Land, Soil, Water, Natural Vegetation and Wildlife Resources Land degradation is a process by which the biophysical value of the soil is reduced tremendously due to man-made or natural activities.

Land degradation has become a major problem in the world today because of exploitation of soil. Deforestation is one reason behind this issue.

Agriculture can reduce the nutrients of the soil; overusing chemical fertilizers can damage the soil causing degradation.
