Homogenous mixture
1) A homogenous mixture has same composition throughout.
2) A homogenous mixture do not show scattering of light.
3) A homogeneous mixture components can not be separated by filtration process.
4) The particles can not be seen by naked eyes.
5) The particles are not physically distinct.
6)Example: Sugar in water, salt in water etc.
Heterogenous mixture
1) A heterogenous mixture has non uniform composition throughout.
2) A heterogenous mixture show scattering of light before settling of particles.
3) A heterogenous mixture components can be separated by filtration process.
4) The particles can be seen by naked eyes.
5) The particles are physically distinct.
6) Example : Chalk and Sand in water.
