ADVANTAGES :

  • IT GIVES MORE CROP YIELD
  • CONSUME LESS TIME FOR HARVEST
  • IT GET RID OF INSECTS
  • IT WILL GROW BIGGER IN SIZE COMPARE TO USING MANURE fertilisers
  • chemical fertilizers contain a balanced distribution of the three main essential nutrients needed for optimum plant growth: nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium.

DISADVANTAGE:

  • IT INCREASE PH OF SOIL
  • THE PLANT GETS DESTRUCTED
  • CHEMICAL FERTILISER IS EXPENSIVE
  • IT AFFECT THE SOIL FERTILITY
  • IT GIVES US HARM NESS

Advantages of chemical fertilizers:

i)   They act very fast. Plants absorb chemical fertilizers at a fast rate and hence their activity is also fast.

ii)   Work in low dosages.

iii)  They are cheap and hence cost-effective for farmers.

iv)  They can enrich the quality of poor soil very efficiently and benefit large crop production.

v)   Prevents the growth of weeds.

Disadvantages of chemical fertilizers:

i)   Do not get completely degraded.

ii)  Flows down into runoff and prove toxic for aquatic life.

iii)  Produces greenhouse gases.

iv)  Harmful for several flora and fauna, causing death of some beneficial animal life.

v)   Hazardous to human health. Causes breathing troubles and chemical toxicity.
