The grandmother was a religious lady. Grandmother and the authors were the good friends. Author's grandmother always loved to go to temple. She used to wake up in the morning. Her face was a full of wrinkles. Grandmother always went to the school with the author because the school was attached to the temple. The grandmother was a great animal lover. She was strong woman in character. She was a woman who love her traditions and culture. She was short, fat and slightly bent. When she lived in the village she always fed Stale chapatis to the village dogs. After sometimes due to the some problem she have to leave in the city. in the city there were very no dogs in streets. So, she took to feeding sparrows. In the evening that for half an hour she always sat in the verandah to fed the sparrows. Author's grandmother did not like the western learning by his grandson .She was also against learning of music.
