hello friend,

The character of Lucia clearly depicts the struggles faced by the victims of the war as in being homeless. She had an interest in music like her own father. She was suffering from tuberculosis of spine and was dependent on her elder brothers who used to work and  pay bills for her treatment. She was unable to take up the career of music because of her undergoing treatment. But because of her hardworking and determined brothers, she saw a ray of hope of her getting well and sing like her father again.
