There are three notable common traits of bacteria:-

1) lack of membrane-bound organelles,

2) unicellular and

3) small (usually microscopic) size.

4) Not all prokaryotes are bacteria, some arearchaea, which although they share common physicals features to bacteria, are ancestrally different from bacteria.

Bacteria are the microorganisms which cannot be seen through naked eyes.

Bacteria are prokaryotic organisms. It means that they do not have any membrane bounded organelles.

Bacteria reproduce by asexual reproduction like binary fission etc.

Some Bacteria are harmful whereas some are helpful.

Bacteria belongs to the Kingdom Monera.

Salmonella typhi, a bacterium, causes typhoid in humans.

Lactobacillus, a bacterium, helps in the formation of curd from milk.
