Ca^+2 and Cl^-
+2 -1
hence, we have required to multiply 2 with 2 for forming neutral compound

CaCl2

in this way ,
Ca^+2 combined with SO4^-2
CaSO4
now for K^+1

K^+1 combined with Cl^-1
KCl

with SO4^-2
required 2 , K ^+1 for forming neutral compound ,
so, K2SO4

now,
Fe^+3
combined with Cl ^-1 when 3, Cl^-1 combined with 1 , Fe^+3
e.g FeCl3

combined with SO4^-2
3 SO4^-2 and 2 Fe^+3 combined
e.g Fe2(SO4)3

prmkulk1978: I think last one should be Ferric sulphate - Fe2 (SO4)3
mysticd: last one is wrong
abhi178: sorry mam its just by mistake
abhi178: i now edit sir
prmkulk1978: it's ok. It happens
abhi178: :-)
prmkulk1978: Thanks
prmkulk1978: Good work Abhi178

the compounds formed :-

1) CaCl2 - ionic bond

formation-
calcium atom loses two electrons to attain stable electronic configuration.
chloride atom gains one electron to attain stable electronic configuration.

calcium atom donates two electrons whereas chlorine accepts only one electron to form chloride ion.
thus 1 calcium ion combines with 2 chloride ions to form CaCl2

2) CaSO4 - ionic compound

formation -
valency of Ca = 2+
valency of SO4 = 2-

the valency gets interchanged and the since the valency are equal and opposite they cancelled thus forming CaSO4

3)KCl - ionic bond

formation:-
potassuim atom loses one electrons to attain stable electronic configuration.
chloride atom gains one electron to attain stable electronic configuration.

potassium atom donates one electrons whereas chlorine accepts only one electron to form chloride ion.
thus 1 calcium ion combines with 1 chloride ions to form KCl

4) K2SO4 - ionic bond

formation-
valency of potassium = 1+
valency of SO4 = 2+

the valency gets interchanged therefore forming K2SO4

5) FeCl3 - ionic bond

formation-

Fe atom loses 3 electrons to attain stable electronic configuration.
chloride atom gains 1 electron to attain stable electronic configuration.

calcium atom donates 3 electrons whereas chlorine accepts only one electron to form chloride ion.
thus 1 calcium ion combines with 3 chloride ions to form FeCl3

6) FeSO4 - ionic bond

formation:-
valency of iron = 3+
valency of SO4 = 2+

the valency gets interchanged therefore forming Fe2(SO4)3
