Answer:

1. magnesium reacts with oxygen

Oxygen and magnesium come together in a chemical reaction to form this compound. After it burns, it forms a white powder of the magnesium oxide. Magnesium gives up two electrons to oxygen atoms to form this powdery product. This is an exothermic reaction.

2. Iron reacts with oxygen and water

The reaction is called rusting, which is unique to iron only. When iron is is exposed to water and oxygen, it reacts to give iron (iii) oxide and iron (iii) hydroxide. In the presence of water, it becomes a hydrated iron compound, ie, Fe2O3. ... The balanced equation is: 4Fe + 3O2 + 6H2O → 4Fe(OH)3

3. Copper reacts with Oxygen, water and carbon dioxide

When black carbon and black copper oxide are heated together the Cu2+ ions are reduced to metallic Cu and a gas is evolved. When the gas is collected in Ca(OH)2 a white precipitate of CaCO3 is formed. The reaction which occurs involves the reduction of Cu2+ ions by carbon which is oxidized to CO2.

4. Sulphur dioxide reacts with water.

Sulfur dioxide & acid rain. Sulfur dioxide is one of the pollutants that can react with water in clouds to form acid rain (some of the oxides of nitrogen can also react with water to form nitric acid).

5. Aluminium reacts with sodium hydroxide and water

sodium aluminate is also formed by the action of sodium hydroxide on elemental aluminium which is an amphoteric metal. The reaction is highly exothermic once established and is accompanied by the rapid evolution of hydrogen gas. The reaction is sometimes written as: 2Al + 2NaOH + 2H2O → 2NaAlO2 + 3H.
