1.Mode = mode is the observation which occurs maximum number of times

 

example -Q. find the mode of the following marks obtained by the 15students

solution -first we will arrange the data in orderly

1,2,3,3,5,6,7,8,8,8,8,8,8,9,10

Here 8 occurs most times (6times)

So, the mode is 8.

 

2.Median = the median is the value which is strictly in the middle of the list of the observation when written in ascending or descending order.

 

median = (sum of two middle most observations)/2

 

3.Mean = (sum of all observations)/(number of observations)
