Write detailed descriptions of the music you would use for a scene where a man is about to commit suicide.
an example paragraph:
I would have a string quartet playing a major key piece. It would be quiet to start off with and would have a moderate tempo – not too fast, because I want the chase scene later to be fast. I would use a string quartet because I don’t want the texture to be too thick (if I used a whole orchestra), and because acoustic instruments would work best, in my opinion, for a scene about cheese. A string quartet lets me have a whole range of pitches, but I’m not going to use any notes that are really high yet, because I’m going to save those for the mouse later! I’ve gone for a major key because at the moment in this film there is nothing for us to worry about – if I put it in a minor key, the audience might be worried, and I don’t want them to worry just yet! The texture would be melody and accompaniment – the melody on the 1st violin. I’m going to use different textures later, so melody and accompaniment seems like the best one to choose for a scene like this one. The melody would use a mixture of long notes and short ones, and I would opt for a skipping rhythm to show that all is well (at the moment!). I would use dynamics that are moderately quiet to show that it is a calm scene.
Please give as much detail as this as there is a lot of points. and read the example
