line...a long, narrow mark or band

line segment....
.In geometry, a line segment is a part of a line that is bounded by two distinct end points, and contains every point on the line between its endpoints. A closed line segment includes both endpoints, while an open line segment excludes both endpoints; a half-open line segment includes exactly one of the endpoints.

A line segment has two end points. It contains these end points and all the points of line between them.Length of a line segment can be measured.

Where as Line has NO end points. It is an infinitely thin ,infinitely long collection of points extending in two opposite directions. Its length cannot be measured.
