For Plasma Membrane.

(i) Plasma membrane is present in both animal and plant cell.

(ii) Plasma membrane is the outermost layer of animal cell.

(iii) It is a lipid bilayer. And is composed of lipoproteins and carbohydrates.

(iv) The cell membrane is 7.5–10 nm in thickness.

For cell wall

(i) Cell wall is present only in plant cells.

(ii) Cell wall is the outermost layer of Plant cells.

(iii) It is made up of pectin, chitin, lignin, glycoproteins, glycolipids, sugar, and cellulose.

Answer:

1.Plasma membrane is metabolically active and living ,while Cell wall is metabolically inactive and non-living;Plasma Membrane requires nutrition to grow while Cell wall doesn't require nutrition to grow.

2.Plasma membrane are semipermiable and have receptors which help in cell to cell communication whereas Cell wall is completely permeable and doesn't have any receptors.
