Lymph nodes is filtered and lymphocytes are formed is called lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are a part of the lymphatic system, a component of the body's immune system.
- It acts as medium for exchange of nutrients gases, hormones and enzymes between cells.
- It brings carbon-dioxide and other harmful excretory products from cells of tissue to blood.
- The lacteals present around villi absorb digested food (Fatty acid & glycerol).
- Lymphocytes are produced in the lymph glands of lacteals which eat upon bacteria.
- It protects the soft tissue and organs.
