Manuscripts are documents composed and written on paper, papyrus, leaves or any other such surface using some or the other ink or substance.
Inscriptions are carved on some hard material such as rock, stone, boulders, pillars, the inside of caves, edicts, temples ,etc.
Manuscripts and inscriptions are both written compositions such as a piece of poetry, music, administrative records, etc.
