- Acids are those chemical substances which have a sour taste and change the colour of blue litmus to red.

Bases :
- Bases are those chemical substances which are bitter in taste, Soapy to touch and turn red litmus to blue.
- Some common used bases are Sodium Hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, etc.
