• Some commonly used acids are hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, nitric acid, etc.

• Some naturally occurring acids are Acetic Acid, nitric acid, tartaric acid, oxalic acid, lactic acid.

• Acids react with bases to produce salt and water.

Bases :

• Bases are those chemical substances which are bitter in taste, Soapy to touch and turn red litmus to blue.

• Some common used bases are Sodium Hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, etc.
