It also supports transportation of water and nutrients to the plants.

(i) Parenchyma tissue is generally found in all plants.

(ii) Its cells are living.

(iii) Intercellular spaces are present.

(iv) The cell wall is thin and is formed of cellulose.

(v) A large vacuole is present in the centre of the cell.

(vi) Cells are generally rounded oval or polygonal.
