According to John Dalton, A atom is the smallest and uncrackable part of an element. It takes place in chemical reactions.

A molecule is a group of atoms. Every Element's molecule is made up of different number of atoms. A molecule doesn't take place in chemical reactions.

• When similar atoms combine together in varying numbers,molecules of different properties can be formed.
• Atoms comprise of nucleus ( which contain protons and neutrons) and electrons while molecule comprises of two or more identical atoms,combined chemically.
