However, in the modern times, high morals, values, and ethics seem to have been eroded pathetically. All ethics, etiquette, decency, and decorum have gone to dogs. The worst affected lot is the young generation. They have forgotten the rich cultural values as respect for elders, tolerance, and self-control. This has resulted in generation gap. The advent of IT revolution and technological advancement has further influenced them. They remain engrossed in their digital, virtual world, chatting, Whatsapping, Facebooking, Twittering, Googling, etc. They don’t have time nor willingness to sit with the elderly members of the family. The elders should come together and make strategy to preserve the rich values of our heritage and culture.
