The conductance of semiconductors increases with the increase in temperatures. In case of semiconductors, the energy gap between valence band (highest occupied band) and conduction band (lowest unoccupied band) is small. As the temperature is increased, the energy of electrons increases and they gain sufficient energy to jump from valence band into the conduction band, because of which their electrical conductivity increases.
