The eight salient features of the class Amphibia are as follows-

1. Amphibia can live in both, lands and water.

2. Amphibia are poikilothermic animals and are found in a very warm and hot environment.

3. Their body is split into two parts head and trunk. The tail might or might not be there.

4. Their skin is very smooth and very rough without any perks of scales, but with organs that turn it humid.

5. Amphibia have no mated fins. Solitary fins may be active and present.

6. They have duo pairs of limbs for movement.

7. They gasp through their lungs and their skin. Gills may be there in some adults externally.

8. The heart of amphibians are usually three-chambered.
