The way most school systems want to discipline their students in the school system, is to beat them. This is the concept most schools look at corporal punishment. Corporal punishment has been used in school for centuries. Many schools have limited the use of corporal punishment but most schools continue to use corporal punishment. Corporal punishment is defined as “physical pain inflicted on the body of a child as a penalty for disapproved behavior.” These physical pains schools allow to use on students have become a problem. These problems consist of physical injuries and lawsuits.

Yes........ many times it happened to me. I remember the worst day of my life when I was punished not only one but five times in a day!
It was when I was in 7th standard. My mother woke me up saying, 'Hurry up Shanaya! You are late for school! It's 7:15am. I woke up in a hurry and got ready. I had my breakfast and hurried to school. I missed the bus and had to walk to school. Obviously, I was late. As punishment, I had to stand there for two hours. Then I was allowed to go to class. The Maths teacher let me enter the class and he asked for homework which I forgot to do. Then I was forced to stand outside class. After that, in English class, the teacher asked us to take out our books. I had given my book to my friend Khushi but she was absent that day. I told about this to ma'am but she didn't believe and made me stand with my hands up for 1 and half hour. If I try to put my hands down,she would increase the time and it came to 2 hours. This is the most painful punishment as hands feel pain just after twenty minutes and I had to stand like this for two hours. Then, there was Chemistry class and the students were making a lot of noise so the teacher punished the whole class. By then, I was very much tired. But still, I had to stand. I realised that all this was due to my lack of punctuality . Then, I decided that from next time, I will never give any teachers chance to punish me.
So, this was my worst punishment experiences. There are many more.
