first do half of middle term and add and sub. the square of the product.

${x}^{2} + 5x + 4 + 25 \div 4 - 25 \div 4$
we get the formula

${ (\times + 5 \div 2) }^{2} + 4 - 25 \div 4$
(x+5/2)^2 - 9/4

(x+5/2)^2 - (3/2)^2

we put the formula a^2 - b^2

(x+5/2+3/2)(x+5/2-3/2)

x= -1 and x= -1
