If the length of the wire is increased then the resistance will also increase as the electrons will have a longer distance to travel and so more collisions will occur. Due to this the length increase should be proportional to the resistance increase.

there are four factors that influence the resistance in a conductor - thickness(cross sectional area of the wire), length & temperature, the fourth factor is the conductivity of the material that is used. some metals ( copper, silver ) are just more electrically conductive than others ( iron, aluminium)
