Explanation:

Special Occasions People celebrate special occasions differently depending on cultural orientation, family tradition and one’s particular perception and perspective on the memorable events. There are some occasions that are considered universal in nature, being celebrated the world over, like anticipating the coming of another New Year, remunerating on the birth of Jesus for Christians during Christmas, preparing to express undying adoration and love for a special someone during Valentine’s Day.

Other social affairs are culture specific. For Roman Catholics, there is a time to commemorate the passion and death of Jesus Christ yearly through observance of fasting and abstinence during Holy Week. For Muslims, there is a one-month of fasting being tediously observed during Ramadan to manifest the Prophet Muhammad’s historic acknowledgement of receiving the Quran from the angel Gabriel. These are special occasions that have been repeatedly and religiously observed for centuries.
