In our eyes, there are many parts like retina, vitreous humor, aqueous humor, lens and transparent cornea. A image is formed when light hits the object we want to see and then it enters in our eyes, passing through our transparent cornea, vitreous humor, aqueous humor, lens and then form a image in the retina

1. The eye is the organ of sight.
2. The two eyeballs are protected by orbits that is, the eye sockets and by the eyelids, eyelashes, eyebrows and tear film. These are directly connected to the brain by optic nerves.
3. Six muscles are attached around each eyeball which help the eye to move.
4. An image is formed on the retina when light rays enter our eye through the pupil and the rays are focused on the retina by the cornea and lens.
4. Now, the retina contains millions of rods and cones which are also known as light-sensitive cells. These convert the image into nerve impulses.
5. These impulses are transmitted to the brain via the optic nerve.
