2x+y=7

let x=1

then, 2(1)+y=7

2+y=7

y=7-2

y=5

One solution= x=1, y=5

let y=1

then, 2x+1=7

2x=6

x=6/2=3

2nd solution= x=3, y=1

let x=0

then, 2(0)+y=7

0+y=7

y=7

3rd Solution= x=0, y=7

let y=0

then 2x+0=7

x=7/2=3.5

4th Solution= x=3.5, y=0

since,

2x + y = 7

(wrting y in terms of x)

=> y = 2x - 7

(put the value of X to find the value of y )

let, x = 0

=> y = 2(0) -7 = -7

let , x = 1

=> y = 2(1) -7 =  2-7  = -5

let, x = -1

=> y = 2(-1) -7  = -2-7 = -9

let, x = 5

=> y = 2(5) -7 = 10-7 = 3

therefore, four solutions are :

  1. x = 0 , y = -7
  2.  x = 1 ,  y = -5
  3.  x = -1 , y = -9
  4.  x = 5, y = 3
