Answer:

Around the World in Eighty Days By Jules Verne

2. 1. Based on the novel ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’, write about a character that you admire. Provide evidence from the text to support your response. Write: - in not less than 50 words - in continuous writing (Not in note form)

3. In the novel Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne, the most admirable character is Phileas Fogg. He is a clever man who is full of determination and courage. Throughout his journey around the world, he faces many problems and enemies. However, he does not give up easily. He thinks of ways to overcome difficulties. For example, when the railway track ends, Fogg buys an elephant so that they can continue their journey. He is also a hero in my opinion. He saves Aouda from the bandits. In America, he even wants to rescue Passepartout from the bandits all by himself. I think that Phileas Fogg is a great man.

4. 2.Based on the novel ‘ Around the World in Eighty Days’, write about a moral lesson you can learn from the story. Provide evidence from the text to support your response. Write: - in not less than 50 words - in continuous writing (Not in note form)

5. A moral value that I can learn from the novel ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’ by Jules Verne is courage. It is courageous of Phileas Fogg to accept the wager to travel around the world in just eighty days and it is courage that helps him win it. It takes courage for Fogg and his friends to rescue Aouda from the bandits. If not for courage, Fogg would not win the wager, and also gain a wife and loyal servant. This teaches me that courage is an important moral value.

6. 3.Based on the novel ‘ Around the World in Eighty Days’, write about a character that shows responsibility. Provide evidence from the text to support your response. Write: - in not less than 50 words - in continuous writing (Not in note form)

7. A character that shows responsibility from the novel ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’ by Jules Verne is Phileas Fogg. Fogg shows his responsibility toward his butler. He even paid the fine when Passepartout was caught entering the temple in India with his footwear on. He also feels that it is his responsibility to rescue Aouda from the bandits. If not for Fogg’s actions, Aouda would have been killed by the bandits. That are some of the reasons why I stated that Phileas Fogg is such a responsible man.

8. All the best for your coming examination.
