Answer:

Cultural movemet of India from 300 BC to 800 AD.

Explanation:

The period in India from 500 BC to around 500 AD was actually termed as the ancient India Period. During this time India was rich in Jainism culture. Some of the other major events during this Jain culture were as follows:-

By 333 BC India was under the effect of defeat of Darius by Great Alexander. During this time the Macedonian Empire was also established and so The country had great effect of the Macedonian culture. By 321 BC till 230 BC it is obvious that the Ashoka Empire was established. During this time the country was greatly under the influence of Mauryan Culture.

This could be seen in the great Kalinga battle time as well. Later by the end of the Mauryan empire it is obvious that the culture was replaced by Sunga Dynasty in late 184 BC. With this it was obvious that from 180 BC onwards till around 68 BC the country was under the influence of different ultures for shorter periods of time.

These included Greek kingdom, Indo Scythian Kingdom and till Establishment of great Kushan Empire. Later in 240 AD the country was under the influence of Gupta Empire and then lead by Chandragupta. During this time a lot of cultural diversity could be seen till Samudragupta empire establishment in late 350 AD.

Now was the time when Chandragupta II was the lead empire that took over the already existing Gupta empire till Chinese culture could be seen in the Country by influence of Chinese scholars by 399 AD to all the way till 414 AD. This was under the leader ship of Fa Hien who managed to travel to India from China during this time.

The time period of 550 AD onwards till 1526 AD it is certain that it was termed as the Mediaval Period when the country was again under the influence of Shankaracharya and Harshavardhana and others.

Answer:

During the time between 800 and 200 BCE the Śramaṇa movement formed, from which originated Jainism and Buddhism. In the same period, the first Upanishads were written. After 500 BCE, the so-called "Second urbanisation" started, with new urban settlements arising at the Ganges plain, especially the Central Ganges plain. This age saw the rise of the Magadh, Nanda, Maurya dynasties and the establishment of trade and travel with other countries. Culturally, this period was extremely rich.
