Carry genes which helps in the transmission of characters from the parents to offspring.

Mitochondria -

Helps in cellular respiration and release of energy. The energy released is stored in the form of ATP molecules. They are popularly known as 'Powerhouse of a cell'.

Lysosomes -

Intercellular digestion. Digestionof worn out cell organelles. Destroy foreign substances. Formation of bones by digesting cartilages.

They are the protein factories of a cell.
