The mirror formula is

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

*Where u= the object distance

v= the image distance

f = focal length of the mirror

Sign conventions

1) the object is always placed to the left side of the mirror thus the light is supposed to be incident from the left to right side .

2) all the distance parallel to the principal axis are measured from the pole of the mirror .

3)all the distances taken in direction of the light that is right are taken as positive while those falling opposite to the direction of the light is taken negative .

4) all the distances which are perpendicular and above the principal axis is taken to be as positive while the ones perpendicular but below the principal axis are taken as negative .

Hope this helps you :) mark me as brianliest ..

Answer:

Explanation:

1) All distances are taken from pole. 2) Height along upward from principal axis will be positive and below principal axis will be negative. Mirror formula. v=uf/(uā€“f). ,f=uv/(u+v). ,(1/v)+(1/u)=(1/f)
