The system if democracy can be classified into four different types, they are: Direct democracy, Representative democracy, Presidential democracy, and Parliamentary democracy.

EXPLANATION:

We know that democracy is the firm of government which is of the people, by the people, and for the people as said by Abraham Lincoln. But the firms of democracy vary significantly.

In a direct democracy, the citizens themselves vote for the principles or policies made for them and the officers just act accordingly. But, this form of government can only suit countries with a small population, it cannot be implemented in India which is huge in its population and also very diverse.

The second type is Representative Democracy in which people select their representatives and they go in the parliament to make laws and take decisions on people's behalf. This type of system is found in India.

The third type of democracy is Presidential Democracy in which the head of the state is President. People choose the lawmakers of the country and they make laws and takes actions on their behalf, but this kind of democracy is not a true form of democracy because the president has various powers over the legislation. Sudan has this type of democracy.

The fourth type is Parliamentary democracy in which the parliament is supreme and the elected representatives of the people have the most power. They can even dismiss the prime minister of the country if they want to pass a No-Confidence Motion against the PM. India and England have this type of democracy.
