- The situation is grim in all parts of the state. Brahmaputra valley is worst affected due to heavy down pour and subsequent flood. Most of the national highways and railway tracks are submerged. The Kaziranga National Park is submerged with water from adjoining areas. Many people are marooned and shifted to safer areas. Every year the rainy season brings heavy rainfall and flood havoc in Assam , Arunachal, Tripura and Manipur. Many people suffered in the past due to flood, water logging and subsequent diseases in Assam and other parts of north east.
- The flood situation in Assam is very grim and grave. There has been incessant rain since last 10–12 days and river the Brahmaputra is flowing above danger line and advancing broadly to the nearby region causing landslide.Dibrugarh , Tindsukia and Dhemaji districts are very adversely affected and most of the region in vicinity to the river is inundated . The Dibru-Saikhowa sanctury is totally inundated .There is forecast of more rain in coming days which would worsen the situation and most of the embakments are dilapidated condition and on the verge of collapse
