Role of forest in influencing the quality of

Air:

1. It takes carbon dioxide gas during photosynthesis thus green-house effect is controlled.

Soil:

1. Plants in forest hold the soil. Thereby preventing soil erosion.

2. Add nutrients to the soil due to lot of vegetation present in forest get decomposed.

Water:

1. Forest helps in bringing rain and increasing the level of water in the underground.

Forests and trees make an essential contribution to food security by helping to maintain the environmental conditions needed for agricultural production. They stabilize the soil, prevent erosion, enhance the land's capacity to store water, and moderate air and soil temperatures.

Forests provide and regulate water

Forests help maintain high water quality, influence the volume of available water, and regulate surface and groundwater flows. Forests also help reduce water-related risks such as landslides, floods and droughts and prevent desertification and salinization.
