LED, diode and solar cell are three very different equipments that are related to light and electricity, but all three of them are very different from each others work.
LED:
- LED, the "Light Emitting Diode" which produces light when certain amount of electrical signal is given to it. Therefore it is known as light emitting diode.
Photodiode:
- While the the photodiode is a converter equipment which changes the light energy into electrical signals and acts as a diode.
Solar cell:
- When light falls on it similar to the photodiode, the solar cell which again changes or converts the signals of light or energy from photons into energy of electricity.
