There can be no better way of serving one's country than by joining the armed forces. One can, thus, aspire to join the defence forces in furthering one's career. After school, sitting for the NDA, or National Defence Academy, examination is one option; the other would be appearing in the IMA, or Indian Military Academy, examination after graduation. On being successful in these tests, one is educated and trained to be a soldier, which is a matter of great pride and honour. If one wishes to serve as a doctor, the Armed Forces Medical College entrance test is another career option. Just as the doctors join the Army Medical Corps, the engineers form a part of the Corps of Engineers.
