First of all we must clear that president of India and King (Crown) both are the head of the state of their respective country.
Indian president is a symbol of Republic state because it is a elected post. On the other hand King of England is a symbol of aristocracy.
Along side this Indian president is not equal to King in powers; British king is known as GOLDEN ZERO but Indian president is not totally a rubber stamp (K R Narayan, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam etc.).
