Answer:

thermal decomposition: CaCO3 heat = CaO +CO2. 2) electrolytic decomposition: 2h2o electrolysis = 2H2 + O2. 3) photo decomposition: AgCl sunlight = Ag +Cl2.

A REACTION IN WHICH A SINGLE RECTANT BREAKS DOWN TO FORM TWO OR MORE PRODUCTS IS 3 TYPES OF DECOMPOSITION ARE :-

(i)thermal decomposition :

when a decomposition reaction is carried out by heating , it is called thermal decomposition

eg : CaCo3 (S) + heat = CaO (S) + Co2 (g)

(ii)electrolytic decomposition :

take place by electric current

eg : 2H2O + electric current = 2 H2 (g) + O2 (g)

(iii)photolytic reaction :

by using light energy

eg : 2 Agel (S) Sunlight = Cl2 (g)
