the main difference between sexual and asexual reproduction is

sexual reproduction : in this, two parents are involved to form a new individual.
asexual reproduction : in this only a single parent is involved and produce the similar copies.

sexually reproducing species would be live better than asexually because sexual reproduction brings variations which help an organism to survive in the changing environment but by asexual reproduction similar copies produce and no variations occur.
