Acute conditions are severe and sudden in onset. This could describe anything from a broken bone to an asthma attack. A chronic condition, by contrast is a long-developing syndrome, such as osteoporosis or asthma.

Difference between acute and chronic diseases.

ACUTE DISEASES

1 Some disease last for only short period of time, these are called acute disease.
2 An acute disease, which is over very soon will not have time to cause major effects on general health.
3.In acute disease there are no bad effects on our health . We do not lose weight, we do not feel tired all the time because of a few days of cough and cold.
4.We may not go to school for a few days if we have an acute disease.
5.Acute diseases have very drastic short terms effects on people's health


CHRONIC DISEASES

1.Some disease last for a long time, even as much as lifetime, and are called chronic disease.
2.Chronic disease will cause major effects on our general health.
3.If we get infected by a chronic disease such as tuberculosis of the lungs, then being ill over the years does make us lose weight and feel tired all the time.
4.A chronic disease will make it difficult for us to follow what is being taught in school and reduce our ability to learn.
5.Chronic disease have very drastic long terms effects on people's health as compared to acute disease.
