Write relation between u.v.f for a lens and for a mirror where u,v,f
are object distance, image distance and focal length respectively.
The magnification produced by a mirror is m-+4, write the
information about the image given by this statement.
iii) Draw a ray diagram showing the formation of the image in case of
a concave mirror when the object is placed between the pole and the
focus point.

Answer:

(a) Mirror formula 1 f = 1 v + 1 u 1f=1v+1u Lens formula 1 f = 1 v − 1 u 1f=1v−1u (b) It means the height of image is 4 times the height of object and image is virtual. (c) (i) Between the pole and focus point. (ii) On centre of curvature.
