Jadav Molai Payeng
Jadav Molai Payeng is a person born in a nomadic tribe of Assam.
He has been working as a Forest worker since last 16-17 years.
He single handedly transformed a barren land into Forest.
It was due to his positive attitude and hard work that he could achieve success in planting trees in around 1360 acres of land.
From him, we learn that even if a large crowd causes harm to environment, a single man can establish a new forest, only if determined.
Today, this jungle in Assam is the result of his hard work.
He was awarded with " Padmashree " award by our Government.

Jadav Molai Payenge is a heighly capable person born in a nomadic tribe of assam.
Born in 1963, he is working as a forest worker since the age of 16 years.
Once large number of snakes died in the flood of Brahmaputra river flowing by the village.
As a preventive measure, Molai planted 20 bamboo plantlets.
In 1979 ,the local Social Forestry Department began a social afforestation project of 200 hatches of land.
Molai was one of the few forest workers who were looking after that project.
As a result of his continues work of planting and caring for the trees , the barren area witnessed the forest cover over the 1360 acres.
Today this jungle in kokilamukh of jorhat district of assam is the result of the hard work for 30 years.
Niw it is well known as 'Molai Jungle' .
