the seopy mutiny was called over in 1857 because the there was a spread of news among the regiment of some areas that the gun which they use had a process of biting off a part that was made from the flesh of pig and cow as there were hindus in the army that believed cow as a holy symbol and muslims were also there for whom pig was a taboo so they got furious on this step of british government
