During the reign of Alauddin khalji Mongol attack was increased and it was a huge administrative challenge for sultan. He introduced several measure:-

* Alauddin khalji raise a large standing army in Delhi as a defensive measure.

*He got emptied the oldest of the four cities of Delhi.


Alauddin khalji administrative measure were successful because he efficiently understood the threat of Mongol attack
