A few of the more common ones are: full sections, half sections, broken sections, rotated or revolved sections, removed sections, offset sections, and assembly sections. ... They are also very useful in dimensioning the drawing.....

Types of Sectional Views

Full Section. If the imaginary cutting plane passes through the entire object, splitting the drawn object in two with the interior of the object revealed, this is called a "full section." A full section is the most widely-used sectional view.

QUESTION:-

Write short note on different type of sectional view

ANSWER:-

A sectional view is also known as section notices inside an object. Sectional views are used to analyze and explain the internal structure constructed of a part that can not be certainly defined and specified by hidden lines in exterior views. The inside features can be seen by putting up with an artificial cut on the object and removing a portion.

The different types of Sectional views are Full Section, Half Section And Offset Section:-

  • A Full Section is created by the cutting plane that through the object fully. A full section is used in many cases to prevent having dimensions of hidden lines.
  • A Half Section is created to expose one half of the object's interior and maintain the exterior of the other half. Half sections are used generally for symmetric objects.
  • An Offset Section is created by the bent and tilted cutting plane which shows features that are not placed in the same plane.
