Those plants which cannot make their own food by photosynthesis are called as heterotrophic plants.

Plants like fungi, tapeworm etc survive by feeding on other living organisms.

Heterotrophic plants are not green in colour and always depend on autotrophic plants for nutrition and survival.

Heterotrophic nutrition is of 4 types –
Parasitic Nutrition
Holozoic Nutrition
Saprophytic Nutrition
Symbiotic Nutrition
