Sea is one of the most efficient, safe and cheap way for transporting various goods, including oil. Oil mainly from Gulf countries is exported to USA, Japana, Europe, etc. via sea. There are large oil tankers in the sea that transport. They are designed such as that they do not leak and even if they leak, oil loss is minimum. However, there have been many cases when oil had been spilled out by the tankers. Oil spilling is danverous for life depended upon sea such as fishes, fish-eating birds, etc. Oil spill reduces the amount of O2 that area. This leads to death of many fishes and other animals living in sea. Oil is highly inflammable, so if proper care is not taken, then the oil spilt can catch fire and damage to nearby coastal areas as it can be carried there by tides and waves. So oil spill is a waste of precious oil, money, life and time.

Oil spills are one of the worst environmental disasters. Spilled or leaked oil can contaminate water, making it unsafe for animals and humans who live near the accident.

Spills can happen through accidents, such as an oil liner striking rocks that cut a hole in the hull, allowing oil to spill out. They can also happen if equipment breaks down, such as a drill on an oil rig. Any of these causes can lead to major or minor disasters.

Hope it will help you.
